Winners of the ProCure22 (P22) awards for 2020 have been announced. The awards recognise the strong performance of suppliers. Through the P22 Efficiency and Productivity Programme, which maximises value through standard components, more than £16m of capital and operational cost efficiencies for NHS clients have been achieved.
The awards were handed out remotely by Cliff Jones, Head of Construction Procurement, NHS Estates and Facilities and Sarah Ricketts, BAM Construction and Chair of the Working Group. Sarah commented: “The efficiency programme continues to grow and go from strength to strength. It’s a pleasure to work with such an enthusiastic and dedicated supply chain, supporting our NHS clients to gain capital cost savings as well as benefits such as innovation, extended warranties and product design.”
Simon Corben, Director and Head of Profession, NHS Estates and Facilities, NHS England and NHS Improvement, Commercial Directorate added: “I have been overwhelmed by the spirit and community of the P22 supply chain, the can-do attitude that they have adopted, be it in improving performance or delivering the Nightingale programme, is unrivalled. Many congratulations to our award winners.”
The winner of the award for NHS Capital Cost Savings was Armitage Shanks in collaboration with Wolseley and Forbo Flooring.
While Tarkett, Polyflor and Altro were recognised for their collaboration and outstanding support in the delivery of the Nightingale Hospitals.
