GRAHAM Construction is delighted to be working with NHS England as a Principal Supply Chain Partner (PSCP), providing a complete design, construction and refurbishment solution to clients within the strategically important and innovative Procure 22 framework. Our focus is on delivering efficient whole life solutions for NHS projects that meet the demands placed on today’s NHS.

Operating across all of the healthcare sectors from acute and primary care projects to mental health and social care facilities, our National Healthcare Delivery Team is driving innovation, value and efficiency across the NHS Estate through participation in both regional and national frameworks. We are a leading PSCP on Frameworks Scotland 2 that follows many of the principles and practices of P22, and on the Ulster Hospital Performance Related Partnering programme.

Notable current projects include the £190m Acute Services and Inpatient Ward Blocks at the Ulster Hospital, a c£47m primary healthcare bundle for Hub SW and the £16m ICU Refurbishment at Monklands Hospital, Airdrie.  We are also constructing the new £30m Acute Adult Inpatient Mental Health Facility in Belfast.

We have assembled an integrated Supply Chain of experienced Healthcare consultants who work with us to deliver the services required to take a project through all stages, from Master Planning and Strategic Outline Case to completion and Post Occupancy Evaluation.

Instinctively collaborative in our business approach, GRAHAM Construction was awarded ‘NEC Contractor of the Year 2016’, winning the headline award for the industry-leading provision of first class health care facilities for NHS Scotland within the Frameworks Scotland 2 initiative. Inpatient Ward Block, Ulster Hospital, Belfast, South Eastern Health & Social Trust

The new 30,000m2 Inpatient Ward Block (IWB) is the first phase of the extensive £261m Phase B Redevelopment Programme at the Ulster Hospital. The seven storey ward block provides 12 inpatient wards comprising 288 single rooms with en-suite bathrooms. The accommodation provides a new Day Surgery, (four operating theatres, one of which is ultra-clean), a three procedure room Endoscopy department, Angiography department, Cardiac Investigation Unit, Robotic Pharmacy department and a Public Café.

Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit, Stratheden Hospital, NHS Fife

A previously outdated and unsatisfactory Victorian facility, has been replaced with an eight bed care unit, providing a modern therapeutic environment, aimed at prevention of relapse and promotion of recovery. The new unit offers a considerably more homely environment, providing significant clinical benefits which support recovery and shorten the length of stay. Individuals who are cared for in the new facility have access to an art and music room, a group therapy room, gym and a relaxation area, which creates a better environment and allows staff to deliver the therapies which aid patients in their rehabilitation.

VAT Recovery

Schemes that are delivered through the P22 framework are offered a free of charge VAT recovery service. Since April 2015, to the end of quarter 3 in financial year 2017-18, approximately £39m in VAT has been recovered.
